Etiquette Policy
Etiquette Policy
ArtLinks is, in the greatest sense of the word, a community. The ArtLinks service is for artists, arts managers and arts ecucators, of any background and who are aged 18 and over.
There are two primary and often conflicting goals in the service we provide for you, the members of the ArtLinks community.
○ Ensure that ArtLinks members are free to express themselves without restriction or undue censorship, thereby nurturing an environment of creativity, learning, and talent.
○ Protect the members of the ArtLinks community to the best of our abilities, concerning plagiarism, discrimination, and prejudice.
The following is an outline of standard etiquette that we expect all of our artists to adhere to. The rules apply to all aspects of the site; submitted material, the forums, noticeboard, and commenting systems.
Community Rules
ArtLinks does not tolerate remarks that are in any form of bigotry. These include but are not limited to:
○ Racist Slurs
○ Anti-Semitic or other derogatory remarks about philosophies and religions.
○ Offensive remarks based on gender or sexual preference.
○ Personal, or private, issues between two or more artists are to remain private. The insistence on making such matters public may result in closed forum threads and policy warnings. If the nature of the problem involves ArtLinks itself, you may ask the ArtLinks Director to mediate the situation to an acceptable resolution.
○ Violations are defined as specific attacks on an individual artist or group. Violation of community ettiquite policy will result in a warning, sent via email. Administration will take further steps, including banning an account, as the situation deems necessary.
○ Accusations of bannable offenses, questions or comments regarding specific administrative actions, and copyright violation reports are always to be addressed to the ArtLinks Director, and not directed at a particular artist. Misplaced or false accusations may be considered violations of site policy.
