INTERESTED IN FILM , cast or crew
Film makers Pat Kenny and Kevin Hughes, both with experience in making feature and short films for TV and international distribution, are now looking for cast and crew to work on a number of short films being made in Kilkenny.
Participation is free and it is with a view to enhancing your career.
The films are based on original scripts by Kevin and Pat.
Following a week of rehearsals the short film will be shot the next weekend.
The films will be made to the highest standard using high end RED Cameras and post production equipment.
It is envisaged that from these first productions and rehearsal workshops, emerging and established talent can network with a view to enhancing film production in the south east region.

We will be holding workshops to start with, to bring all involved up to speed with the projects and will let you know dates,
at the moment we are thinking about holding the first workshop on the 19th of this month

I know it's a big pub but you can find us there humkered down in a free corner , I will be wearing a black director baseball cap for the RED CAMERA

Hi all,
Thanks everyone for turning up on Monday, it was great to see so much interest in film making in Kilkenny.We are really excited about the potential of this talented and expierenced group.
Don't forget we are having our next meeting on Monday at Wallslough Village at 7.30 to lock down a schedule and explore people's interests in more detail.
We will also be outlining our plan in more depth.

Great meeting last night. Thanks everyone for turning up.
Next Monday is the sound workshop, which will spill into camera and sound as well.
Even if you are no interest in sound it is important people show up because we are also starting to delegate activities and for want of a better description CREW UP
.
If anyone could not make it last night you are more than welcome to come on Monday

Hi Everyone
Next Monday we will be locking down the full schedule after feedback from last Monday so we will have a better idea of what we will be doing from here on in.
Our shoot days are looking like first and second weekends of December.
We have had a number of requests from actors about the films and we are going through them at the moment, so be patient with us.
Looking forward to next Monday.

Hi everyone
Great meeting last Monday, I heard, sorry I got caught in Dublin but Pat and Damien were delighted with progress.
Now crew is in place myself and Pat are working on casting and starting workshops with actors. Things are looking good for our schedule so far.
Today we are going out to Elizabeth's house in Pauls Town to check it as a location with Grainne who is working with us as our first DOP. (Director of Photography)
Having trouble putting my script as an attachment here so can you email me at

Hi all
great news
The Arts Office of the Kilkenny County Council have just awarded us a grant to support what we are doing.
Will give mroe details on Tuesday.
On That, we will be meeting next week on Tuesday night at 7.30 at the office at Wallslough, usual place...
We will be breaking down ther scripts and doing a read theough for all involved.

The film is edited and if anyone wants to come and have a look at it please feel free to contact me before I lock the picture. (Means do no more picture editing on it, just grading and sound)
Looks great and everyone should be proud of what we have created.
There are a number of short festival deadlines coming up so I want to get it locked and ready to go out and of course we will be having our showing soon.

Hi all
Our short film BLACK is shown during the Carlow arts festival EIGSE this Friday at 11.30 pm, yes it is a late show, along with other shorts, in the new cinemas in Carlow.
Come along and enjoy the fruits of all your hard work on the big screen.
A special thanks to Damien and all the staff in the cinema in Carlow.
If you can not make it we will organize another showing in Kilkenny in the future for all involved.
