Practice “....making art is my passion. I reinvent the world around me with colour and texture....”

Mary Wallace's mixed media paintings show an exuberant response to nature and capture the sensory essence of her subject. Experimenting with a wide range of medium including paint, beeswax and egg tempera, Wallace incorporates a visual exposition of colour and texture into her works to distill the intrinsic elements of the natural world.

In addition to her own arts practice Mary is a Heritage Specialist with the Heritage in Schools Sheme - a collaboration between The Heritage Council and the INTO. She has an active Community Arts practice and is on the panel of Visual Artists-in-Prisons Schemes.
